On 7th October 2011, the International College freshman orientation was held at 1:30 PM. International College staff attended the conference included Zhang Zhiyong/the president,  Tan Feng/the party chairman, Guo Chuanzhen/the student counselor. The conference was hosted by Liu Tiejun/the vice president.

At the meeting,Tan Feng introduced basic facts of the International college to the new students, and gave students many suggestions. He said that since 2003, the Ineternational college has witnessed encouraging achievements. He pointed that the joint project is running under the British educational system, and the students can enjoy the international education at home country.He also asserted that this program is demanding for the students involved.To finish the program, they should complete the total 60,000-word report and submit a 10,000-word assignment in ENGLISH. Although few hours course per week. With classtime and selflearning time, the IC students are one of the busiest groups at BUA. Strict tests system also motivate students here work even harder.

Finally he encouraged students should develop and foster the selflearning habits. To complete the assessment of the UK, by the end of Foundation Year, they should pass the Entrance English exam provided by Haper Adams University College, by getting score equall to IELTS 5.5. For Year1 and Year 2, they should improve their English and learning skills as the same. For Year 3 who study in UK ,they should make the effort to achieve as higher degree as possible for themselves to get a better future.
During the meeting, all the new students listened attentively and noted down the vital information for their success on campus.

The meeting proved to be very fruitful.
